Meet the experts! 2 days with Mary, Tom, Jeff, and Henrik.

Are you interested in Lean software development and how this relates to Agile methods such as Scrum and XP?

Deep Lean is your chance to go beyond the basics, to meet and interact closely with internationally recognized experts within this field, and to trade experiences with peers.

The course was a great success last year, and we have made several improvements to make it even better this year! See you there! :o)

Course schedule

Schedule for both days:

  • 8:45 - 9:00: Coffee & registration
  • 9:00 - 12:30: Seminars
    • Teacher-led seminars on lean and agile software development, intermediate to advanced level. See the list of topics.
  • 13:15 - 17:00: Open space / birds of a feather
    • Participants split into smaller groups for closer discussion and interactive workshops, with active participation by all teachers.
  • After day 1 (from 17:30): Crisp summer party!
    • Those who are interested can come along to Crisp and join our Summer Party. We'll have live music with Henrik's band Indigo :o)

­­Mary Poppendieck Tom Poppendieck­­­­

Mary and Tom Poppendieck are leading pioneers of lean software development. They are the authors of two famous books on the topic and are renown speakers at conferences worldwide.

Jeff Sutherland

Dr Jeff Sutherland created the Scrum process in 1993 and co-founded the Agile Alliance in 2001. Jeff has been CTO / VP of engineering of nine software companies and has implemented Scrum company wide in the last five. He is currently CTO of PatientKeeper, a leading heal­thcare software company in the US.

Jeff is author­ of the forthcoming book "The Scrum Papers - Nuts, Bolts, and Origins of an Agile Process".

Henrik Kniberg

Henrik Kniberg is an agile coach based in Stockholm. During the past 10 years Henrik has been CTO of 3 Swedish IT companies and helped many more get started with agile and lean software development. As certified scrum trainer Henrik does regular coaching and training together with Jeff Sutherland.

Henrik's book Scrum and XP from the Trenches has over 100,000 readers and is one of the most popular books on the topic. During the past year Henrik has won "best speaker" awards on two international conferences.
